Lac Blanc

Mountainbike routes
The bike park has nice flowy machine built greens, blue’s and reds and more technical reds and blacks. Given the limited altitude difference (300m) they have managed to create a lot of different tracks (7) catering to all riding styles. Your mom will have fun on her hardtail while you’re doing road gaps, northshores or steep roots and ruts.
Because of the high capacity lift there will not be queues most of the time and you will get a lot of riding done.
The bikepark is usually only open during weekends and French bank holidays, check the site Lac Blanc bikepark.
There is also an extensive network of signposted xc routes (220km) you can pick up a map at the tourist office.

The village
Lac Blanc is a just a ski area/lift without a village. There is a restaurant at the bottom of the lift called Auberge du vallon.
The nearest village is Le Bonhomme, which would suffice for one or two nights if you’re just there to ride your bike.
If you want a bit more facilities you will be happier in Gerardmer or La Bresse. Both have their network of xc routes and La Bresse also has a bike park, with both downhill and enduro routes.
